The Yorkshireman is a project that explores the idea of what most people perceive a typical Yorkshireman to be. This includes his hobbies, attire, pets and personal belongings. When I asked a variety of people (both Yorkshire and non Yorkshire folk) to describe the first image that came to mind when I said think of a typical Yorkshireman most of them said; flat cap, greyhound, hunting rifle over the shoulder, boots/wellies, tweed and the colour green. I laughed at these replies as they are exactly what I expected people to say. So after great thought about the comments that had been made when I asked my questions, I set off to find images that I could take to create the best representation for a perfect Yorkshireman.
